Chinese Researchers Break Through High-Speed Solenoid Valve Performance Limits

A team led by Professor Li Yanbiao from Zhejiang University of Technology has developed a pre-loading control algorithm that significantly enhances the dynamic response of high-speed solenoid valves. Published in September 2024, their research shows the new algorithm reduces valve opening lag time from 1.5ms to just 0.38ms—a 75% improvement—and increases maximum operating frequency to 417Hz at 50% duty cycle, nearly tripling the performance of conventional single-voltage 驱动 systems. The innovation expands the controllable duty cycle range by 14%, enabling more precise fluid control in aerospace, construction machinery, and military applications. The team’s non-invasive displacement detection method, using laser sensors and metal plate transmitters, has also resolved long-standing challenges in valve performance testing .
